Nobody likes reading terms and conditions but it’s important, for us and for you. we’ve kept them as short as possible! please scroll down and have a read, let’s make sure we understand the process and each other :)


Terms and Conditions


Booking, Deposit and Payment…

  1. All shoots priced under £100 will require a £25 booking deposit and all shoots priced above £100 will require a 25% booking deposit to secure the appointment.

  2. We are happy for you to meet us prior to paying the final balance and so, the balance will be payable when the shoot has been completed. These rules are a minimum requirement and we are happy to accept payment in advance of these times. Should this occur then you will always receive an invoice showing the amount paid as proof of purchase.

  3. Digital images and prints from the shoot will not be sent until we have received payment in full.

  4. We will always cover travel costs for shoots within a 30 mile distance of Kettering or Stevenage and with larger packages extend this distance to 60 miles. Please feel free to contact us for an estimated travel cost.

  5. An online booking form must be completed for all shoots.

  6. We will endeavour to contact you 48 hours prior to your shoot day to confirm, but we operate a ‘No news is good news’ policy and so if you don’t hear from us you should still expect the shoot to go ahead as planned. Should we need to cancel we will contact you prior to the shoot time to inform you.

  7. Card Payment via invoice link or online order form is the preferred method of payment. We also accept cash, bank transfer and payments via PayPal.

  8. An invoice and receipt will be issued on request.

  9. Photographers will not attend the appointment in the case that the customer has not paid a booking deposit, unless this has been previously agreed.

  10. Advertised prices and packages are subject to change without prior notification, however, we will always honour the price at time of booking.


Photography Time…

  1. Your Photographer will be available for the time included in the selected package.

  2. We will discuss arrival and finish time at the time of booking. If there is any specific difficulties with travelling to or finding the location, you must inform us prior to the shoot.

  3. If we are not ready to start at the agreed time due to our fault, we will still photograph for the agreed time by extending the finishing time (venue permitting).

  4. If the photography does not start at the agreed time, as start time has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances that are not our fault, then the photographers will still end at the agreed time on the booking.

  5. If we arrive on time but the shoot does not start at the agreed time due to customer fault, the photographers will still end as per the agreed time on the booking.


Photos…

  1. The copyright of all images will remain with BOOM Photography and by accepting these terms and conditions you are granting us the right to use any and all images taken on the day for marketing and promotional activities, involving both digital, web and printed material. Although this is the case, we have a great respect for the privacy and protection of our customers and we will ALWAYS avoid using images of children when choosing marketing and promotional material (unless previously agreed by the parent) Please contact us should you wish for your images to remain private.

  2. The editing process can take up to 4 weeks, therefore, Complaints regarding images not received within this 4 week time frame will not be accepted.


Damage to Equipment…

  1. Any damage to the Photographers equipment caused by the booking party will be compensated in full by the booking party.

  2. The booking party will be responsible for any loss resulting from theft or damage to the Photographers equipment during a booking.

  3. We accept no liability for any damage or loss of personal property and or any injury arising from the use of the hired equipment.


customer Behaviour…

  1. We will not accept any threatening or abusive behaviour and should this occur then we will stop the service immediately and leave the shoot without a refund.


Technical Issues / Failure To Supply…

  1. We will always arrive with backup equipment but in the unlikely event of a technical problem with all of the Photographers equipment or events beyond our control a refund will be given pro-rata to any time lost, unless we feel that we can still provide the service specified.

  2. The photographers cannot be held responsible for any failure to provide a service of supplies or equipment if the operator has no control over the circumstances which may withhold all or part of the supply. These may include but are not limited to traffic delays, severe weather conditions, breakdown of our vehicles, sickness, equipment failure or any other reason outside of our control.

  3. If we cannot attend or fulfil your photography due to events beyond our control we will contact you or the venue as soon as possible. In these instances our liability will be limited to a refund of all the monies paid.

  4. Failure to supply due to the venue or client issues will not result in a refund.

Insurance…

  1. We carry £1 million public liability insurance.

  2. We are PAT tested yearly.

  3. A copy of insurance details will be provided should the venue request one.

Booking Cancellations…

  1. We understand that your circumstances can change but we would ask for as much notice as possible in the event that you need to cancel your booking.

  2. Booking deposits are non-refundable in all cases.

  3. Any cancellations will be subject to the following cancellation charges:

    • Within 48 hours prior to the shoot – 50% of the final balance

    • Within 24 hours prior to the shoot – 100% of the final balance

Acceptance Of Terms and Conditions…

  1. The booking party agrees that upon filling in any enquiry or booking form on the website, and the payment of at least a deposit, the booking party accepts these terms and conditions.
