SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BOOKING, DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT…

  1. Booking Deposits are not needed for School Photography Bookings.

  2. Should we attend to complete Prospectus Photography and/or Staff Headshots separately to Yearly Student Photography, A quote and/or invoice will be provided. When booked in at the same time as the Yearly Student Photography, Staff Headshots and Prospectus will be offered free of charge.

PHOTOGRAPHY TIME…

  1. Your Photographer will be available for the time included in the agreed booking.

  2. We will discuss arrival, finish time and dates at the time of booking. If there is any specific difficulties with travelling to or finding the location, you must inform us prior to the shoot.

  3. If we are not ready to start at the agreed time due to our fault, we will still photograph for the agreed time by extending the finishing time (School day permitting).

  4. If the photography does not start at the agreed time, as start time has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances that are not our fault, then the photographers will still end at the agreed time on the booking.

  5. If we arrive on time but the shoot does not start at the agreed time due to customer fault, the photographers will still end as per the agreed time on the booking.

PHOTOS…

  1. The copyright of all images will remain with BOOM Photography and by accepting these terms and conditions you are granting us the right to use any and all images taken on the day for marketing and promotional activities, involving both digital, web and printed material. Although this is the case, we have a great respect for the privacy and protection of our customers and we will ALWAYS avoid using images of any children when choosing marketing and promotional material (unless previously agreed by the parent).

  2. The editing process can take up to 4 weeks, therefore, Complaints regarding images not received within this 4 week time frame will not be accepted.

  3. As a standard, 2 Batch orders will be delivered to the School (meaning free delivery for parents) following these two batches, parents may still order but will be charged a £10 Late order fee and these orders will be delivered to their home address. We will endeavour to deliver all batch orders within 14 working days of the batch cut off date and all late orders within 14 working days of order date.

DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT…

  1. We are fully insured for all of our equipment, including accidental damage.

CUSTOMER BEHAVIOUR…

  1. We will not accept any threatening or abusive behaviour and should this occur then we will stop the service immediately and leave the shoot without a refund.

TECHNICAL ISSUES / FAILURE TO SUPPLY…

  1. We will always arrive with backup equipment but in the unlikely event of a technical problem with all of the Photographers equipment or events beyond our control we will be happy to reschedule the shoot free of charge.

  2. The photographers cannot be held responsible for any failure to provide a service of supplies or equipment if the operator has no control over the circumstances which may withhold all or part of the supply. These may include but are not limited to traffic delays, severe weather conditions, breakdown of our vehicles, sickness, equipment failure or any other reason outside of our control.

  3. If we cannot attend or fulfil your photography due to events beyond our control we will contact you as soon as possible. In these instances our liability will be limited to a refund of any the monies paid.

  4. Failure to supply due to the venue or client issues will not result in a refund.

INSURANCE…

  1. We carry £1 million public liability insurance.

  2. We are PAT tested yearly.

  3. A copy of insurance details will be provided should the school request one.


Booking Cancellations…

  1. We understand that your circumstances can change but we would ask for as much notice as possible in the event that you need to cancel your booking.

  2. Upon cancellation, charged Prospectus and/or Staff Headshot photography is non-refundable in all cases.

  3. Please understand that offering a free service means that we are inevitably impacted in the event of a cancellation and with sales based earnings it is tough to gauge that impact. Late notice cancellations ONLY will therefore be subject to the following cancellation charges:

    • Within 4 weeks prior to the booking – The cost of any expenses already paid for (Hotels, train tickets etc) plus 50% of the cost for Photographers wage (at £120 per day)

    • Within 2 weeks prior to the booking – The cost of any expenses already paid for (Hotels, train tickets etc) plus 100% of the cost for Photographers wage (at £120 per day)

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS…

  1. The booking party agrees that upon filling in any enquiry or booking form on the website, the booking party accepts these terms and conditions.
